Multiformat (HD/3G/4K) & Multispeed (1X/3X/6X) System Camera
Grass Valley LDX 86 is a content acquisition system, combined with outstanding image performance, excellent light sensitivity and the ability to use standard HD lenses.
The LDX 86 HiSpeed (HS) 3X/1X camera is the perfect solution for live sports and entertainment productions. The direct successor of the LDK 8300 Super SloMo camera, LDX 86 HiSpeed offers up to 3X speed operation in 1080i and 720p, with an additional 1X standard-speed “live” output for seamless integration with standard-speed cameras used in a production.
LDX 86 HiSpeed also includes AnyLightXtreme technology for flicker-free images when used with artificial lighting.
LDX 86-series is based around advanced Xensium-FT CMOS imager. This allows cameras to have highest sensitivity and image performance across different video formats. This includes extended colour gamut supporting ITU-R BT.2020 and a software upgrade to enable 15 F-stops of high dynamic range (HDR) in single-speed operation.
There are two paths to upgrade LDX 86 series:
High Frame Rate – one of the paths would be based on high frame rate HD/3G cameras
4K UHD acquisition – second path is based on single speed HD/3G/4K UHD acquisition
You can upgrade these even further to LDX 86 Universe with camera providing single speed at HD/3G/4K UHD as well as 6x HD speed / 3x HD/3G speed. You are able to to this via GV-eLicense and upgrade it with a daily, weekly or perpetual license.
A single camera that meets all your operational needs. From single-speed cutting-edge HD to ultra-clean XtremeSpeed and crisp 4K. Optional HDR for single-speed operation is available via a perpetual GV-eLicense.
