Prior to taking up the role of Senior Project Engineer, Andrew Colgan amassed a wealth of broadcast systems integration experience at ITN. There, he was Senior Technical Project Manager for 16 years, with responsibility for broadcast system design and integration. He also managed the teams responsible for delivering these projects into live environments.
His time at ITN included a project to completely rebuild the Channel 4 News studio and galleries from the ground up, as well as acting as technical coordinator for ITV News’ Election 2015 and Referendum 2016 results programmes. After leaving ITN, he worked in a freelance capacity on a project to move Bloomberg TV’s studio into the new Bloomberg building in London.
As Senior Project Engineer, Andrew plays a key role in the design and delivery of a wide range of our broadcast system integration projects, ranging from portable production units (PPUs) and outside broadcast vehicles to TV studios and post production facilities. In particular, he brings to bear his impressive range of skills in designing studio and production gallery systems, production workflows, graphics systems and virtual studios.
Andrew Colgan is a key part of the team that will deliver your broadcast solution. And , as a PRINCE2 practitioner with a strong background in budget management, he understands what it takes to keep your SI project on track, both timing-wise and financially.
Working closely with Projects Director Chris Williams and Technical Director Jonathan Lyth, he will scope and design the integration requirements for your broadcast project.
